5-Room Apartment Renovation · Trenčín · 2025

The main aim of the renovation was to create a new, more functional layout for an existing apartment housing a family of five. By moving partitions we enlarged the kitchen and bathroom, created a walk-in wardrobe and connected the individual parts of the apartment into a naturally working whole. The load-bearing idea of the design is a run of oak-veneered joinery that flows continuously through the entire apartment.

It begins in the kitchen with its integrated appliances, continues along the hallway with storage and a concealed entrance to the wardrobe, and ends at the bathroom door. The space – and the household's daily life – organises itself naturally around this unifying line. The interior works with oak, neutral tones and plenty of room for living plants.

Clean contemporary solutions are complemented by retro pieces the family wanted to keep and integrate naturally into the new interior. The result is an airy, timeless apartment in which the new layout combines the practical needs of a large family with a pleasant, distinctive sense of home.
